New Stem Extension Program for BYV & BYB Series Butterfly Valves

Clemmons, NC (December 19, 2025) – Hayward Flow Control announces the release of its redesigned and improved Stem Extension line for Hayward BYV and BYB Series Butterfly valves. The program includes a newly designed fully supported stem extension with PVC outer housing spool and 304 SS drive shaft for BYV Series Butterfly Valves through 8” / DN200. Available in 24” through 72” lengths in 12” increments. Features the BYV Series all GF-PP (Glass Filled Polypropylene) Lever Handle with 19 lockable stop positions & 360° interlocking splines providing external disc position and flow indication.

Additionally, a redesigned supported stem extension with gear operator with all 304SS construction has been added to the program. Available for all sizes of BYV and BYB Series Butterfly Valves in 24” - 72” lengths in 12” increments. All Type 304 Stainless Steel construction, with custom sizes available on request. External disc position indicator on the gearbox is standard. Also compatible with all Hayward actuators that are suitable for use with BYV and BYB Series Butterfly Valves.

Lastly, new to Hayward’s line of stem extensions is a Gear Operator Handwheel Extension. Available for BYV / BYB sizes 2" to 24" / DN50 - DN600. Available in 24” - 72” lengths in 12” increments, with custom sizes available on request. Adjustable support bracket with UHMW bearing included. All Type 304 Stainless Steel construction. 2” Square Nut is optional.

All Stem Extensions are designed, built, and tested at Hayward Flow Control’s Clemmons, NC, facility and backed by Hayward’s Global 3-Year Warranty.
