Our Story

Hayward® Flow Control, a division of Hayward Holdings, and based in Clemmons, NC, USA, has been a leading manufacturer of industrial thermoplastic valves and process control products for more than 60 years. In fact, Hayward was one of the originators of the first thermoplastic ball valves. Since then, we have remained committed to producing the highest quality products while providing outstanding service that exceeds customer expectations. Hayward has earned an unsurpassed reputation for product design, manufacturing precision, quality assurance, experience and know-how, and a total commitment to customer satisfaction and support. We serve a multitude of markets and industries worldwide with our products.

Founded in 1925 by Irving M. Hayward, Hayward Industries was a small company located in Brooklyn, NY, specializing in metal valves and industrial flow control products, including the bronze strainers aboard the USCG Tiburan (pictured left) who served as a rescue ship during D-Day. Mr. Hayward retired in 1964. Shortly following his retirement, Hayward Industries entered an era of diversification, development and growth. Realizing the capabilities of thermoplastics, the company entered the swimming pool sector. Rapid growth in the pool business resulted in the creation of Hayward Pool Products, Inc. At the heart of Hayward Industries, the industrial flow control business grew as well – becoming Hayward Flow Control.
